A Scenic Escape Near Downtown Annapolis

Located just minutes from the heart of Annapolis, Quiet Waters Park sits on a picturesque peninsula where the South River meets Harness Creek. The park features more than 5 miles of paved paths, making it perfect for leisurely walks or easy bike rides for all ages and skill levels.

While you’re there, take a moment to explore the serene Butterfly Garden or visit the peaceful pond where you might spot turtles basking in the sun. Quiet Waters also offers beautiful picnic areas and pavilions, making it an ideal spot for a weekend gathering with friends or family.

The Perfect Spot for Your Next Pup-Friendly Event

Planning a pup-friendly private event or even a wedding? Quiet Waters has charming gazebos and pavilions available for rent, plus the Blue Heron Center for indoor events. It’s a stunning venue where you can celebrate special moments with your loved ones—including your four-legged friends!

During the summer, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra hosts a concert series at the outdoor amphitheater, and yes—pets are welcome!

Off-Leash Fun at the Dog Park and Beach

Of course, the highlight of Quiet Waters for dog lovers like me is the Quiet Waters off-leash dog park and beach. To find the dog park, just follow the main road to the end. There are separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, giving your pets plenty of space to run and play safely.

After some fun in the dog park, take a stroll along the scenic South River and head to the dog beach. It’s the perfect place for your pup to cool off and splash in the water while you relax on the shore and take in the beautiful views. Trust me—your dog will love it!

Tips for Your Visit to Quiet Waters Park

Keep Your Pup on Leash: Outside of the dog park and beach, pups need to stay on leash.
Explore the Trails: With over 5 miles of paved paths, it’s a great spot for a walk or bike ride.
